What’s the difference between Body:Reset in Marbella or Ibiza?
Body:Reset Ibiza & Marbella:
Both locations are led by 38ºN owners Claire & James and are the perfect way to immerse yourself in their award winning, transformational approach. They very much focus on the mindset element of success – complimented with results driven outdoor training, beautiful settings and incredible food. Your retreat – be it in Ibiza or Marbella – will be a truly inspiring wellness break.
Body:Reset Marbella runs during the ‘winter’ months – usually Oct/Nov and then Jan/ March. Five star Puente Romano is one of the world’s leading luxury beach resorts and offers culinary delights such as Nobu and Dani Garcia. These are always 3 night weekend stays. Breakfast and lunch are included.
Body: Reset Ibiza operates from the four star chic, beachside resort Sol Beach House in Santa Eulalia – which is ideally situated a short 3 minute walk from the harbour full of restaurants and shops.
This is our flagship retreat experience and one clients return to again and again. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are included.
The Body:Reset Ibiza Retreat experience ranges from 3 – 6 nights.
Flights and transfers are not included.
Transfers can be added as extra, as can a whole host of other services, such as DNA testing, coaching, personalised training and nutrition programmes – as well as private yoga and pilate sessions.
For 2020 we are running a very special, luxury Ibiza Easter retreat at the 5 star Aguas De Ibiza – called Total:Reset. This includes transfers to and from the airport, plus a a spa treatment, arrival drinks and a final dinner with us at the award winning on site restaurant overlooking the mediterranean sea.

Where are you based?
We’re a UK Limited company, but over the summer months we split our time between Ibiza, Marbella and London. We run pop ups in London and also work with Corporates when we’re not in Ibiza or Marbella.
What retreats and holidays do you offer in Ibiza?
From May to October we run our Body:Reset at Sol Beach House. We have a one off retreat in Ibiza for 2020 for Easter at Aguas De Ibiza called Total:Reset.
What retreats and holidays do you offer in Marbella?
We offer our Body:Reset Long Weekend from January to April and then in November.
Do you do Bespoke Yoga Retreats?
No, sorry, we’re focused on fitness and holistic wellness.
Are dinners included on the group retreats?
In Ibiza for Body:Reset you are full board with a buffet dinner.
For Total:Reset in Ibiza for Easter breakfast and lunch is included, with dinner on the last night also included.
On other retreats, after feedback from clients we decided to provide lunches and leave evenings free for you to explore the local area.
There are many fantastic restaurants – giving you the opportunity to get out and about, soak up the atmosphere and sample a variety of food. However, if you want to stay in, our locations have excellent restaurants on site.
Are you ABTA or ATOL bonded?
ATOL is only for tour operators selling packages including flights. And sadly, ABTA is very expensive for the smaller tour operators like 38ºN. However we have specialist travel bonding via our partner Fixers and have specialist tour operator liability insurance that complies with EU & UK package holiday regulations (unlike many retreat companies!), which means your money and holiday is 100% protected.
What do I need to bring with me?
We recommend two sets of trainers, several sets of workout clothes (and of course underwear!), swimwear, goggles, sunglasses, a sun hat, sun cream, a small rucksack and some casual clothes for the evening or going out. When you book, you’ll receive a full kit list on your welcome email.
How fit do I need to be?
We cater for all levels and have trained hundreds of clients over the past four years – of all different shapes, sizes, fitness abilities, age and gender. At the start of most of our retreats we run a fitness assessment to gauge fitness levels and abilities – purely so you can track your progress at the end of your stay. We also carry out a consultation with you when you arrive to find out what your regular exercise routine looks like. From there we tailor our activities to the individual.
As a rough guide you should be able to comfortably complete a 5km fast walk – if you can do that, you can do most of the activities we offer. Plus, all our trainers are highly experienced and will recognise if someone needs to be shown alternatives to bring down the intensity. If you have any serious injuries or health conditions you think might prevent you participating in any of the exercises, please discuss these with us before booking.
Is it like a bootcamp? Will people be shouting at me?
We do not class ourselves as a ‘bootcamp’ – and we certainly don’t believe in shouting at people to get results! We encourage our clients to be the best they can be – to challenge them in a motivational way. Yes – we’ll push you, but we’re not going to break you! We want you to feel amazing and confident when you leave us – having achieved your goals. In a nutshell, you’ll get out what you put in and we’re here to help you on that journey. You’re also free to skip sessions and rest if you want to.
Will someone from the team be with us 24/7?
No – we are a hotel format, not a villa format – which gives you the freedom to be around the group or spend some time alone. We attract clients that are self-sufficient and do not like to be hand-held constantly. We are there to train and support you through your sessions, but we leave you to enjoy your breakfast and lunches alone. Your evenings are also free to do with what you will. We’re there to motivate you, support you and coach you. If you feel like you might need someone with you for a majority of the day and night, this may not be for you. But if you’re looking for freedom, space and a great training schedule, with informative workshops – we are more likely for you.
What’s the food like?
Our food is delicious and nutritious without being restrictive. We’re happy to give you tips on the healthier options – think dishes of fresh grilled fish, stir fries, fresh, colourful salads and hearty soups. However, if you’re not watching your weight, you’re of course free to choose dishes from the regular menu. We can cater for most allergies and intolerances but we ask you take ownership of your food and make the kitchen aware of your needs when you order.
What’s included in my break?
Our holidays include accommodation, half board (Marbella and Aguas de Ibiza for Easter 2020), full board Body:Reset at Sol Beach House. All activities, workshops and training.
What if I’m on my own?
We welcome plenty of single travellers – male, female and of all ages. And because of the variety of programmes we offer, there tends to be a lot of people around to socialise with, if that’s what you’re after. Alternatively, if you’re looking for some solitude, you’ll also get plenty of downtime to rest and rejuvenate. There really is no pressure either way!
What’s the weather like?
In Ibiza and Marbella you can expect sun pretty much everyday. In July and August temperatures can climb to mid-30s and we adjust the activities and schedule accordingly. Before and after those times, temperatures are around mid-20s.
Where will I be training?
In Ibiza all our training takes place outdoors, as we want to make the most of being in nature – in the woods for shade, on the beach, from a lookout point for stunning views and by the sea on grass for Yoga or Pilates. It can sometimes be very hot, so we recommend drinking plenty of water, bringing a hat and applying plenty of suncream. At other locations, sometimes we train clients in a studio if space is available. If you’re not happy training in the heat and/or dust/sand (or sometimes getting a little dirty), then this probably isn’t for you. In Marbella we train on the beach, in the studio and on the tennis courts.
What results can I expect?
You get out what you put in. Our shorter breaks are designed as an educational kick-start and over three or four days we’re not expecting to change your body composition. On longer holidays as long as you follow our guidance, most people find their fitness levels improve dramatically and their body fat decreases over a week. Fat loss in the region of 2 to 4% is not uncommon on the week long programmes, sometimes more. Just as important though, is the advice and support we give you to maintain your healthier lifestyle once you return home. Think of your holiday with us as a results driven kick-start to your new wellbeing journey.
What happens when I get back home?
We’re not a fire and forget outfit and love to continue our relationships with clients once they’ve returned home. Many even return year after year to us. During the retreats we’ll educate you about nutrition, psychology of training, motivation and more, plus explain why we’re doing the training we’re doing – so you’ll go home well equipped with the knowledge and confidence to take you forward. You’ll also have access to our app at a discounted price after the retreat which means you can stay accountable and motivated with us and others you met.
What time do activities start and end?
We generally start activities between 08:00 and 09:00 and our last sessions end no later than 19:00.
How long are your activities?
They vary. Most sessions are 45 minutes to an hour long. Interval training, such as circuits, HIIT and Insanity can frequently be 30 to 40 minutes long, as they’re more intense. Morning runs are around 30 minutes as are coastal walks. Excursion type activities such as hiking, generally last around 120 minutes, depending on conditions and client fitness/energy levels.
How many hours a day will I be working out?
It’s entirely up to you! The daily programmes are perfectly balanced to include higher and lower intensity sessions to ensure we get results, but don’t overtrain you. However, you can dip in and out as you please – we’re not here to judge, but to motivate and inspire – so we’ll never make you do anything you don’t want to. Having said that, you’ll get the best results (and knowledge) by doing as much as possible. We figure that you’ve invested the time and money to visit us, so doing the most you can makes sense. As a rule of thumb, you can expect around 5 hours of exercise a day (we have a half day rest day on the 6 day Ibiza retreat).
Will I get some time to relax?
Yes. Although you’ll have plenty of options to keep you busy exercising regardless of the type of holiday you come on, we also realise you’re on holiday! Therefore, we’ve built some time into all our programmes for having treatments, relaxing by the pool, or exploring the local area. We also give you an afternoon off mid-week on the 6 night programmes so you can relax, recover, check out the beach or laze by the pool.
What about massages?
All of our locations offer a range of massages and spa services via the hotels we work with.Will I get one-one training or coaching sessions?
You’re always free to book these as extras on any of our other retreats.
Sounds great, how do I book?
You can book online on our site or drop us an email or give us a call and we can arrange the rest. We ask for a 25% or 35% deposit to secure the booking with the balance due 60 days before arrival.
